NOTTINGHAM 2.50

CAPTAIN DUNNE

This horse is not top rated, but is one of the few who will handle the very fast ground. The expected withdrawal of Iver Bridge Lad will not alter the race unduly, as the selection will blast off and try and make all. Despite top-weight, first run, and so so draw, I think he will be okay.
This conclusion is largely based on the doubts of the rest in these conditions. True, as with all selections, you have to take fitness level on trust, but the Captain has gone well fresh on fast ground and runs gun-barrel straight.

Once again, yesterday saw my selection be comfortably beaten, but it is early in the season?
I will do a round up of the weekends racing on a separate blog, with a couple of horses to look out for in the near future.

Have a good day, Gerry
p.s. Sorry, still not back on Facebook whilst catching up with last season.
